Mr. Chawla has a distinguished background as a real estate professional having previously worked for the last 8 years at private equity giant Madison International and Blackrock. Mr. Chawla has successfully valued, underwritten, acquired and asset managed over $3 billion of real estate assets.
The Carlton Crowdfunding platform acquires stabilized assets in core markets which can be acquired for a 6% cap rate or above, creating a favorable cash on cash arbitrage through rent growth, lease up of vacant space and securing long term, low rate, fixed rate financing. Carlton Strategic Ventures currently manages and owns over 3 million square feet of property and actively provides equity capital for joint ventures with Carlton clients.
In addition, Carlton Advisory Services invests and organizes highly organized capital structures separate and apart from Carlton Crowdfunding on large development and transitional assets. We have completed over $3 billion of equity and debt raises on development transactions just in the last 18 months.
