Carlton Hires Eurasia Specialist Richard Nordin

Carlton Chairman Howard L. Michaels is pleased to announce the hiring of Eurasian specialist Richard Nordin as a Director. Richard formerly worked at Russia Partners Private Equity Fund in Moscow, and has over 15 years experience in real estate and private equity working in Russia and Eastern Europe. Richard speaks fluent Russian and will cover Eurasia and Germany. Additionally, during his work overseas he raised and deployed over $1 billion of capital for industrial developments in Russia and Kazakhstan and managed a private equity fund with investments in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev (Ukraine) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). Richard has received B.A. and M.A. degrees from Harvard University.

As previously discussed Carlton is making a major commitment to grow its European business and add to the over $20 billion in European debt, equity and investment sales transactions, which it has historically completed. Moreover, the capital markets are presently benefitting from historically low interest rates and investors who are loaded with cash and are looking to provide capital to viable European projects with qualified sponsors. We have approximately $10 billion in capital that has been allocated to us by several large financial institutions, who are aggressively looking to finance and/or participate in European transactions.
Moreover, our capital providers are anxious to see recapitalization opportunities from owners or to buy distressed loans from financial institutions. We are interested in speaking with any owners and/or lenders who are interested in us bringing you a debt or equity partner to facilitate a recapitalization and/or mutually agreeable loan restructure.
