Carlton Group’s Asia Equity Team Expands

July 13, 2015

Carlton Group has added capital markets veterans Cher Chang and Jianhao Zeng to its Asia equity placement team.

Chang joins the firm as a director, while Zeng has come on board as an associate. Both will be working with Carlton Group chairman Howard L. Michaels and the firm’s other equity-raising specialists on placing highly structured, passive, promotable equity capital for developers in New York and across the globe.

In addition, Chang and Zeng will be working with Carlton COO Kevin Swill and Carlton executive Nick Chen together with Michaels to access investors from Asia interested in New York and other CBD markets around the world. Carlton, which was founded in 1991, has closed well in excess of $2 billion in transactions with Asian investors, the company reports.

Chang is an experienced real estate and capital markets veteran who has lived in Vancouver for most of the last 10 years and has substantial experience in residential sales, commercial acquisitions, rezoning subdivisions and capital markets activities. She specializes in residential and commercial real estate, and has had extensive dealings with Asian high-net-worth investors.

Zeng also has substantial commercial underwriting experience, having worked at China Merchants Bank in China and two major commercial real estate firms in New York City.
