CEX Sells $9.4 Million Portfolio of Non-Performing Residential Loans
August 20, 2010
Howard L. Michaels, Chairman of the Carlton Group, today announced the sale of a portfolio of approximately $9.4 million in non-performing residential loans through the Carlton Exchange (CEX) online bidding platform. Carlton Group was retained in April 2010 as the exclusive Loan Auction Advisor by its client and the transaction closed in July. Transaction details were not disclosed.
“The Carlton Exchange allows buyers of non-performing loans and REO assets to submit competitive bids on a real time basis, providing sellers with a marketplace to sell such loans and assets,” said Chairman Michaels. “CEX is currently marketing more than $1 billion in loans and assets that are available through our bidding process, and we look forward to working with buyers and sellers to help accomplish their needs.”
